Lantern Parade

Sometimes I do beautiful things in my city

The lantern parade is something that’s been occuring for a couple of years but because I’m totally clueless with the things happening in my city, this was my first ever time attending.

(Provably my last aswell because I’m not okay with being in the park at night)

The parade was dedicated to Drummond Mills that was accidently burned down a the beginning of the year. And as a tribute to the first mill worker’s (over 100 years ago) and the start of the industrial revolution, we had the lantern parade around the local park with a presentation.

It was honestly incredible to see so many people together celebrating the beginning of the city’s success.

There will be another again during the aniversary of the fire and thankfully this time it’s not at the park but at the city centre.
