The Student City

Hey guys, I went to #CarnLIVal this weekend and because there’s so much to talk about, I’m splitting it in to multiple posts. The first one is The Student City a.k.a Liverpool.

The last time and the first time I visited Liverpool was at a year 6 trip to the Beatles story. It was brilliant. Well all the things the things I can remember like the Beatles museum and the docks.

However, 9 years later and I’m actually scared. Travelling is not something I have done unless it’s been school trips or even with friends and family. However, this weekend I made an alone trip to a city I barely to attend an event in which I barely know the people. Petrified is not the word is use to describe how I was feeling. It was much worse. But I did it. I got there and to the event safe and sound and all that worry was for nothing. Yay me!

The first thing I did, once I was off the coach, was explore the Albert Docks. I walked around during mid-morming with a coffee in hand, enjoying the scenery. I’m going to be honest despite getting to Liverpool it one peice, I was still pretty amxious. I had to keep reminding myself to breathe and that I can do this.

After exploring the docks, i decided to that I needed to actually find the venue, Hope Street Hotel. So with my trusted pal Google maps, I began finding my way around. I got a lost a couple of times. Took some wrong turns even misread some street signs. Hey, that’s a little part of the adventure.

I didn’t actually explore the city as much as I would have liked. But the shops and the city centre I did see was beautiful. I may, however, be biased on the fact the place was swarming with guys in suits.

I’m planning on visiting again and this time exploring more of the city. I’m ready to fall deeper in love with the city full of students

Looks like you had a fantastic day to explore Liverpool! It’s never a city that I’ve visited either but I’d really like to, the docks especially look lovely! Looking forward to seeing the next post in this series!

Liverpool is somewhere I have always wanted to visit. Sounds like you had a great day and that is so awesome you went on your own! I’d love to do something similar myself one day.
